The student council is one of highest positions in Ooarai Girls High School. In Girls und Panzer, the student council members serves as the Turtle Team. Their office is at the bridge of their school ship.
The student council and more specifically, the president have a very important role on many decisions that determined the fate of Ooarai Girls High School and the Girls und Panzer story-line.
It's members joined the Student Council as soon as they enrolled Ooarai as 1st grade high school students, however, the reason why they enrolled on such a young age is unknown
They hold an antagonistic relationship with MEXT, as in two occasions he was the responsible on trying to close down the school.
To cut down costs, the MEXT decided that Ooarai would be closed as it was losing students and didn't have any interesting program, such as sensha-dō.
After deciding that they would bring back sensha-dō and win the next National Sensha-dō Tournament to save the school ship from closing down, they obligated the newly transferred student Miho, coincidentally a traditional sensha-dō practitioner, to partake into sensha-dō, under the blackmail that she and her friends wouldn't attend that school in the next year, making it understandable they would be expelled. They also created a presentation, saying that an upcoming International sensha-dō Championship would happen and all schools were being ordered to strengthen their sensha-dō teams.
